There are three stages of chiropractic care: Initial Intensive, Rehabilitative/Spinal Corrective Care, & Wellness Care.

Initial Intensive Care

Most patients start with this phase care. The first thing most new patients want is to address their main concern and feel better. So, in the beginning, visits are usually frequent. Your chiropractic adjustments may be combined with other procedures to help relieve your symptoms. Depending upon your age, condition, and lifestyle, repeated visits over weeks or months may be needed to reduce your symptoms.

Rehabilitative/Spinal Corrective Care (Most Important Phase of Care)

With your sign or symptom reduced, the goal of Rehabilitative/Spinal Corrective Care is for more complete healing to occur. This is the phase where the real work begins and where we as a team address the cause of your condition.  Underlying muscle and soft tissue damage can remain, even after you feel better. By correcting postural abnormalities and spinal curves during this time, we are retraining the nervous system and strengthening the brain to body connection.

Also, recommendations such as exercises, dietary changes, and/or other self-care procedures are advised during this phase. Without complete healing, discontinuing care now can set the stage for a relapse.

Wellness Care

After the recovery of your original condition, regular chiropractic “checkups” can help preserve your progress. Periodic visits can help catch little problems before they become major concerns. Wellness-minded adults choose this type of care for themselves and their family to look and feel their best. Like other preventive measures, a chiropractic lifestyle can save time and money by helping you stay well.
