Chiropractic care in pregnancy is an essential ingredient to your prenatal care choices.  Even if having a baby is just a thought or a possibility, that is where your prenatal care can begin.  This will ensure that your body is free from nerve interference and ready for what is to come.  You want to be prepared nutritionally and physically.  Exercise is also an important ingredient to your prenatal care.

Hormonal changes and added weight from the growth of the baby interfere with the normal structure of the body, most importantly the spine and NS.  It becomes difficult to adapt to these changes if the body is not in balance. Preexisting unnoticed imbalances in your body, particularly the spine and pelvis, become overtaxed during these times.  Sometimes these added stresses lead to discomfort and difficulty while performing routine, daily activities but not always.  Just because you “feel great” and have no pain does not mean your body is in balance and is fully prepared for birth.

Specific adjustments eliminate these stresses in your spine, restore balance to your pelvis and result in greater comfort and lifestyle improvements.  We will take you through your pregnancy at whatever stage you are in.  We will make sure that we bring full balance to your body and allow you to provide a better connection between you and your baby, making sure that he/she gets all of the vital nutrients it needs, your pelvis is in proper alignment for birth and your NS is able to adapt to the changes that you will experience.

After the birth there is a whole new set of changes that will take a toll on the body, especially the Nervous System.  Discontinuing care after the birth is not recommended.
